Holiday Self-Care Tips | Hey Honey Skin Care

Hey Honey, we know the holidays can leave you feeling stressed out and overwhelmed. It's important to ensure you're not overworking your mind or body this time of year. Extra holiday obligations can make it hard to find the time to care for yourself, but following these 4 self-care tips will make navigating this time of year a little easier:

1. Take time for yourself
It's not uncommon to neglect yourself when getting caught up in the fast pace of the holidays. Make it a priority to take a little time for yourself to sit quietly, unwind and recharge. Whether it is dedicating an entire day for yourself or simply having a relaxing skin care session at home, taking a few moments to decompress makes it clearer and easier to navigate tricky holiday situations.

Use our Relax Propolis & Honey Soothing Cream, designed to hydrate, repair and comfort rough, unbalanced and flaking skin, to fight the physical appearance of stress while soothing your senses.

2. Eat regular, healthy meals
It's perfectly okay to indulge in some holiday treats but you must be mindful of finding the right balance in your diet. When it is time for meals, eat something nutritious and filling, so you have the energy to keep going. It is also necessary to pay attention to what your body needs. Make sure you are eating because your body is actually hungry, not as a reaction to some form of stress.

3. Get enough sleep
Sleep plays an incredibly vital role in managing stress. Don't sacrifice your sleep or make any drastic adjustments to your sleep schedule during the holiday season. Sleep is often one of the first things to go when we get busy, but getting the same amount of sleep you body is accustomed to makes it easier to power through your day.

4. Stay active
Exercise is beneficial for both your body and mind; it helps relieve tension in the body, which in turn helps your overall stress response. Anything from a short walk to hitting your favorite yoga class will do wonders for your energy, appetite and disposition.

It’s easy to make unhealthy choices when you’re in a huge hurry, honey. Allowing yourself the time to take care of your physical and mental health is the key to surviving the holidays!
